Nobody could tell
I wasn't okay.

I spent a decade as a nurse being the person other people needed to be calm. Fertility patients on their hardest days, staff on their hardest shifts — I was good at holding it together, and I got promoted for it. From the outside, everything looked fine.

My body kept score anyway. An autoimmune diagnosis is what finally made me stop and ask why "high-functioning" had become my whole identity — and what it was actually costing me to keep performing okay. Breathwork and somatic work are how I learned to actually come down, not just cope better at staying up.

I say things directly — I'd rather tell you the true thing than the comfortable one, and that shows up in how I facilitate. No script, no spiritual bypassing. Transformation happens when we finally give room to what we've been needing to see — and that only happens in a space that actually feels safe to do it in.

None of the rest of it matters — the job, the title, the being needed — if we don't take care of ourselves first. That's the whole practice.
